Let me introduce myself

Hi, my name is Abby, I’m a barefoot newbie and I have sore calves.
And ankles…and rear…
Not bad pains, but I am working muscles that have been atrophying since I put my very first pair of sneakers on my feet. I really noticed how weak my ankles are. Those muscles are going to be strengthened now that I don’t have shoes to stabilize my legs!
Imagine that, muscles being used to stabilized the body instead of some manmade contraption. The horror!

Hi my name is Abby, and I didn’t feel like eating dinner tonight.
So I slurped it.
And chased it with some marshmallows.
A very balanced meal if you ask me!
This GM had Spinach, 1/2 frozen banana, handful frozen mango, orange juice, some ice. Topped with granola!
I love my GMs with juice—not so crazy about ones with milk. I have to be in the right mood.

Hi, my name is Abby, and my husband turned me into a cheapskate.
Instead of buying Larabars, I made them!
Peanut Butter and Jelly “Abby”bars
-1.5 c whole, pitted dates
-1.5 c dried strawberries (you could do other dried if you want)
-1 c unsalted peanuts
-Salt
Grind peanuts in a food processor (don’t let it grind into butter, but try to get rid of big chunks). Set aside. Grind the dates and fruit in the food processor. I had trouble grinding the strawberries, so I threw them into boiling water briefly to soften them up (you’ll need more nuts the mushier your fruit). Mix the fruit and nuts by hand and add salt to taste. Spread out and cut into squares. Stick in the fridge!
A very special thanks to Rebekah for some recipe-guidance!
These really do taste like a PB&J sammie…which is good because I’ve had one with lunch everyday for the past week. And I might have had one for breakfast, too.
