And then I found twenty dollars
September 17th, 2010
No, just kidding.
I lost $20, actually. I hate carrying cash and one of the reasons is because it is too easy to lose. But I drove to DC today so I needed money for toll. And a Starbucks latte, obviously.
I just prayed that someone who needed it would find it.
And while I was on the DC beltway, I had a terrifying experience. So scary, in fact, that I think Dexter is terrified to get back in the car with me.
And then when I finally arrived, I broke my sunglasses as I was getting out of the car.
And Dexter almost ran right under a moving car as we were walking into the house. Even though he was leashed?!
But then I really did find $20. It was in my wallet.
I guess I was the one who needed it. Probably to pay for a massage after the drama of the day.
Oh, and 2 minutes later I got smacked in the head with a sizeable tree branch.
I think I’ll be putting the money to some first aid supplies. Or a copay for stitches. (I’m exaggerating)
I’m anxious to see how the rest of the weekend unfolds.
Wish me (and those around me) luck!
