Church Food
November 12th, 2010
I love to eat.
I’m sure many of you do.
But really, I just love food. All foods (except meat and greasy casseroles—but we won’t go there).
When I find myself daydreaming, it is always, ALWAYS about food. And it could be anything.
IT could be about Ashley’s salad creation, Mama Pea’s Dough Balls, candy corn, or my homemade guacamole.
Really, I just love good food.
Want to know what I was day dreaming about today?
The Communion bread at church.
It’s like tiny little shortbread cookies. So scrumptious.
Unfortunately I only get one piece the size of my thumb nail on the first Sunday of every month.
I can see when John Calvin advocated Communion on every Sunday—he must have had the same recipe for Communion bread.
I like John Calvin.
Do you think it would be wrong if I took a handful next time the Communion plate is passed my way?
Or would it be inappropriate to ask the Elders after church if I could take home the leftovers?
At the very least, I need to track down the recipe.
