First of all, I apologize for bombarding you all with ANOTHER picture of oatmeal. I understand that there are only so many pictures of oatmeal a person can handle and there are far better oatmeal crafters and photographers than me.
But this was like waking up and eating dessert first thing in the morning.
Oats + almond milk + chia seeds + coconut butter + TJ’s mini PB cups
And to make my morning even more sweet, I caught my boys wrestling. They paused for a photo op:
And finally, I’d like to make it law that Sunday afternoons should be spent wearing sweatpants and taking naps.
I got 10 hours of sleep last night and I cannot wait to fall asleep to some football games.
But before naps…
So did you think I’d follow through with my exercise plan for the week?
Given my track record, I wouldn’t be surprised if you thought that I was full of it.
And I sort of was.
But only by one mile. And in my defense, I honestly thought that I was supposed to run 3 miles on Tuesday. I didn’t realize until Thursday morning, when I was mentally adding up my mileage that I kept getting 21 instead of 22 miles. And I was kicking myself for saying that my total mileage was 22, and how many people read that post and thought, “wow, this girl has about a 2nd graders grasp of numerical functions.”
And then I looked back and realized that I was, in fact, supposed to run 4 miles on Tuesday instead of 3.
And in my personal opinion, I’d rather be one mile lazier than unable to perform basic addition.
It’s a pride thing I’m working on.
So let’s see how I did:
Sunday: 30 Day Shred, Level 2
Monday: 6 miles, avg. pace: 9:15
Tuesday: 3 miles (NOT 4, oops), avg. pace: 9:30; Yoga for Runners
Wednesday: 30 Day Shred, Level 2
Thursday: 4 miles (no Garmin), and JM’s 6 Week 6 Pack, Level 1
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 8 miles, avg. pace: 9:08
Total Mileage: 21 miles.
I find it funny that my longest run was my fastest and my shortest was the slowest. Abnormal…just like me!
Now this week (so I have it written down so I don’t pull another Tuesday.
):
Sunday: cross train
Monday: 6 miles
Tuesday: 4 miles, cross train
Wednesday: 5 miles
Thursday: cross train
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 10 miles
Total Mileage: 25 miles
In your opinion, what’s the best way to spend a Sunday?
For me, it’s definitely in sweatpants and taking naps after church. And I think I’ll read a good book later.
Oh, and do some cross training
