Sunday’s Sundae
February 7th, 2011
That was quite a game, wasn’t it? I’ll survive. The Packers played a great game so it’s ok if you want to gloat in the comments section. Just be nice about it. And expect some reply about how the Steelers have 6 Lombardis to their name, k?
So yea, my happiness isn’t tied to any sports team. Although the argument could be made that it’s currently tied to Evgeni Malkin’s torn ACL and MCL.
Bad weekend for Pittsburgh sports.
So let’s talk about something happy. Like running, because that’s what I do. And food, because that’s what I live for.
Totally kidding. Sort of.
Best way to avoid any Super Bowl food guilt (if you’re prone to food guilt, thankfully I’m not) would be to run 11 miles beforehand. Which is what Ashley and I did. We were hoping for another glimpse of Sidney Crosby, but apparently he’s in Canada and we didn’t have enough Gu’s to make that trek yesterday.
Maybe next weekend.
Anyway, that’s a brownie sundae minus the ice cream (sometimes I remember that I’m lactose intolerant). It’s generic cool whip on top which, in case you’re wondering, has no dairy. Kind of a disgusting thought, but one taste of it with that brownie, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles and “disgusting” becomes “delicious”.
I think I’ll have another one tonight. Extra "whipped topping". Hold the 11 miles, please.
If you could have any food waiting for you after a long run or hard workout, what would it be?
Macaroni and cheese, for me please! It can be Kraft, homemade, Stouffers.. I don’t care. I just LOVE mac and cheese. My lactose intolerance obviously keeps me from eating it…too much. I still do every now and then (like when I don’t have anywhere to be the next day).
