Things I’m Loving

It’s Friday, which means I’m relatively pleased with life right now. Well, as pleased as one can be living in Pittsburgh in the midst of the never ending gloom and muck of February.
Ha.
But seriously, I can always find at least 3 things that make me smile, even on my worst days, so I hope these can brighten your day like they brighten mine:
1) New running shoes! Always a fun treat and a good reason to get out there and run!
2) Cary Grant! He’s so dapper and suave. I love old movies and he makes them so much more classy.
3) Bananagrams. Dave’s mom got this game for me for Christmas. I played it for the first time this past weekend with Dave, Amanda and Lacey. Maybe I liked it because I dominated, but now I can’t wait for my parents to come up this weekend for us to play it again! Dave and I can’t play it by ourselves—we don’t play nicely with each other.

Bananagrams were the big hit at my boyfriend’s Christmas this past year!! It’s such a fun game! Right now I am loving sparkling water!
What brand of sparkling water?
It’s HyVee brand. HyVee is a grocery store here in Omaha. It’s sweetened with splenda, so I try not to have too much of it, but it is REALLY helping me kick my pop habit!
I’m loving having a very free 4 days coming up to work on my Master’s paper. I’m also loving that I’m 2 months away from graduation! Also, definitely loving food and this Pittsburgh food blog: eatpgh.com

Best.game.ever. My family is obsessed with that game. We used to be Scrabble players, but will now only play Bananagrams. I, however, am not nearly as good as my mom or hubs – and unfortunately extremely competitive! Ha! You can play it by yourself too, there are other rules in the bag.
AHH! No way! I’ll be playing that in my spare time now!
Lol that you don’t play nicely together, i am the same way – UBER competative, i stopped playing Monopoly 20 years ago for this very reason

February is consistently the shiestiest month in the burgh. But I honestly take comfort in that knowledge. It’s always going to happen, like Christmas.
Right now I’m all sorts of obsessed with jazz. I want to live in Vegas, wear sequins, listen to saxophone, and marry a Dean Martin lookalike.
I love Jazz! And Dean Martin. He’s up there with Cary Grant! Swooooon!
I just got new running shoes. Can’t wait to get out & put them to good use!

Bananagrams is fantastically fun. My mom, sister, and I went on a girls’ trip this year, and everyday we’d play a few rounds. Good times!

Would love to hear how you’re liking the shoes!! Never played bananagrams but the name cracks me up!! I get pretty competitive with games too. Chris bought me the game Outbreak for Christmas and we LOVE it. You play TOgether as a team…2-4 players. I think you would really like it! xo
