Always
March 8th, 2011
Working out in the morning makes me eat all day long.
It’s Fat Tuesday.
In light of these two truths, I bought gum at lunch to keep my mouth occupied with something other than the chocolate chip cookies. But not before I had a few cookies…and the rest of my Easter candy.
I really need to stop the sugar binges. I have no problem with calories or worried that I’m going to be fat—I just know it’s not good for me, but I’m so hungry all the time and it seems like simple carbs are the most appealing.
Thank you, marathon training.
Both this year and last I noticed two things about training for a marathon:
- I’m always hungry. At any given time, I’m ready to eat a meal. Not just a snack, but a meal.
- I’m always tired. Not catnap-tired, but like 10-hour-long-sleep kind of tired.
ALWAYS. ALWAYS. ALWAYS.
In other running news, I received my shipment from The Clymb!
What’s The Clymb? It’s amazingness.
They have sales on name brand sporting apparel at ridiculously low prices. You have to be a member, but I got a free membership for attending Fitbloggin’ last year. I’m so glad that I did!
Dave has ordered some really nice cycling apparel and today we received our Camelbak goodies!
I’m so excited to try out this new belt on my run this weekend! It’s the Delaney Race in pink/gray. I’ll model it for you!
Can you believe I only paid $16 for it?? Retail price is around $40. It comes with a water bottle and 2 gel flasks—whatever those are!
We also got some 1/2 liter BPA-free water bottles. They were only $5 each!
The moral of the story: join The Clymb if you’re a sports apparel junkie like me and the Mr.!
If you want/need an invite, let me know and I’ll send you one!
Also, I hate the hand tapping McDonald’s commercial. Really. I loathe it.
Where’s your favorite place to by sports apparel? Have you heard of The Clymb?
Do you eat constantly too?
P.S. Dave and I are going to Toronto and Niagara Falls this May for our anniversary. Just for a few days though. We’re planning a European vacation so we don’t want to spend a lot of money this year, but we thought it would be important to still get away for a few days. We’re planning on going to the Hockey Hall of Fame (Sheena was right on—she gets me!) and see a Blue Jays game. Hockey and baseball…my favorite sports (baseball will always be the best, though. Sorry, Dave. It’s in the blood!). We’re going to end our trip with a day at Niagara Falls (Katie guessed that one!).
