Hangry

I declared today my rest day!! :D

It’s cold and rainy out there. I can do cold, and I can do rainy, but I draw the line at “cold and rainy!”

We’re supposed to get a huge snow storm on Friday, but I’d rather run in the snow than the cold rain.

Ashley and I are having a speed workout tomorrow (also will be rainy, but not cold) and then I’ll go for a short run Friday to loosen my legs for my long run on Saturday.

Plus, I really meant to foam roll last night during the game, but I totally forgot and my legs really need it! So tonight’s rest night include foam rolling and MACARONI AND CHEESE!

I strong armed Dave into making me some homemade mac and cheese. There’s nothing more frightening than a PMSing, HANGRY wife, so he had to oblige. Maybe one day when all of my female readers are PMSing and hangry, he’ll oblige us with the recipe.

See this pot?

That’s full of butter, milk, flour and cheese.

Kind of my best dream and worst nightmare at the same time. Let’s hope the lactose is out of my system by the time I am supposed to meet Ashley.

I threw it on a big bed of spinach to help with the speed of digestion. ;)

Also, I tried to take a nap today, but it didn’t work out very well. I guess I just need more practice.

My blog is lame. Lata’.

What weather conditions do you refuse to run in?

How do you spend your rest days?

I emailed most, if not all, of you who asked for an invite to The Clymb. After I blogged last night, I actually discovered a link that I could have published for you all to use:

yum…mac and cheese. i made my favorite mac and cheese recipe last night for dinner.

I don’t run when its cold or hot, in the rain nor the snow…and sometimes the sun blinds me, so its hit or miss there too. haha

That mac n’ cheese looks delish…kinda makes me hungry for dinner all over again. ;)

I don’t usually run in the rain, which isn’t much of a concern here in Calgary. I’ve embraced winter running this year and have been out in some cooooold, snowy weather (can’t be avoided and I have no gym pass or treadmill!). So that’s been good.

And your blog isn’t lame! Thanks for posting and prompting some thoughts and discussion. Happy resting!

I commend you and anyone else who runs up north. It was windy on my run this evening and I thought that was bad, but freezing rain and snow turn me into a big wuss! I don’t mind cold (and by cold, I mean 30s). As far as my toughest runs – the ones with really strong winds. I think I’m repeating myself now. Your mac & cheese looks delish!

haha you would find a link AFTER posting about it ;) I didn’t run outside today because the winds were 30 mph! It would have been nice running south, but turning around would have been dreadful!!

That mac and cheese looks absolutely delicious! I’m recently lactose intolerant, and that’s one of the things I miss the most! Love how you made it a little more healthy:)
