Day 3
May 3rd, 2011
Friends I hope you’re all doing well. To be honest, I am exhausted. It was a long day, and like yesterday, I still haven’t eaten yet!
So let’s jump right to the good stuff:
30 Day Challenge
Day 3
Drugs and Alcohol
This is an interesting one. Where to begin? Well, let’s start with drugs. I’ve never done them, don’t plan to. They are illegal and dangerous. I don’t see the pay off.
Alcohol is a different monster. It is also a drug and is extremely dangerous and causes many, many deaths and broken lives. But it’s not illegal, so how do I handle it?
Well, I think that alcohol requires a lot of responsibility. And to be honest, if you’re breaking the law and drinking it before you’re 21, you’ve immediately proven that you’re not responsible enough to drink it. Same with drinking to drunkenness, or driving or in imprudent situations.
As a Christian, I think that there is nothing in the Bible that says that alcohol is forbidden. And we cannot legislate on things which the Bible does not. So basically, if you want to drink, drink within the limits set by law (whether or not you agree with them), and always in moderation.
I guess there’s a lot more that I could say on the subject of alcohol, but I’ll stop there. If you have any questions about my view of alcohol, especially my view as a Christian, feel free to ask me in the comments or email (abby.normally.blog@gmail.com)
Have a great night dudes!!! Rest up and see you tomorrow!
