Listen to the Band
May 18th, 2011
Ok, I’m back. Sorry about that.
I was chopping an onion last night and well, some how the top 1/2 of my pinky finger got involved. I sliced through the nail and into some flesh, but it’s not as deep as I thought. It’s hardly deep at all, actually, but the skin under the fingernail is so sensitive that it hurt so bad. I cried mainly because I was scared. And then I took 3 Ibuprofen and fell asleep on the couch at 8:30.
I really needed the sleep, though so I’m thankful I got a restful, albeit painful, night.
So now I’m back! My marathon maladies are getting better, which is good. I am hardly sore at all (except my hip—but it doesn’t hurt anymore than it did before the marathon, which is a good sign). My toes are healing nicely too!
As is Dave’s poison ivy. He had to go to the doctor’s to get some ‘roids. Oh boy!
I don’t really think I’ll have anything to talk about on the blog whenever the two of us are healed and healthy. I might have to have Dave break my legs in my sleep so that I can keep my readership.
In the meantime…let’s pick up where we left off, shall we?
30 Day Challenge
Day 11
Ok, I’m going to play this game a little differently today. Instead of giving you the 10 random songs, I’ll let you know the music that was on my marathon playlist! Which, incidentally, I didn’t listen to. Well, not much of it. I put my head phones in right at the start and about 7 miles in I looked at Kim and said, “I’m not listening to anything.” I didn’t turn my sermons on until around mile 14 and then I listened to 2 sermons (about 2 hours) and then my music kicked on. Before I knew it, I was done.
Be warned! This is an extremely eclectic list!!
But here is the playlist (minus the sermons):
Love You Madly by Cake
Hospital Beds by Cold War Kids
Whip It by Devo
Here (In Your Arms) by Hellogoodbye
Don’t Wake Me Up by The Hush Sound
Heart Transplant by Punchline
