Apparently it’s some kind of vegetarian week this week? I don’t know. I think I saw it on Twitter. And if it’s on Twitter you know it’s true.
I only bring this up because it’s ironic. About once or twice a year, I have a craving for tuna and today I had that craving. So I had some tuna and it was good. And gross at the same time. I crave it and eat it, but don’t really enjoy it. I think it’s a texture thing. But the good thing is that I have satisfied that craving for the next 6 months.
That’s kind of the attitude I have towards meat. If I want it, I’ll eat it. The thing is that I never want it. My vegetarianism is based in my preference for veggies (and disgust of meat) and because I know it’s healthier for my sensitive body. But if I ever crave it, I know that my body needs it, so I’ll eat it. I’ve learned that your body really craves what you put into it. That’s probably why it doesn’t crave meat it.
Now if only I can stop giving it candy…
30 Day Challenge
My earliest memory.
I really have no idea. I have some random memory of falling into my grandparents’ toilet. I have to imagine that I had to be pretty small to actually fall into a toilet. I was probably being potty trained and thought I could do it myself, but really, I just ended up in the toilet.
So I really hope that’s my earliest memory because it kind of sets the precedent for the rest of my life. And no wonder I love bathroom humor.
What are the reasons behind your diet? If you’re a vegetarian or vegan, why did you choose that lifestyle?
P.S. Thank you all so much for your well wishes about our anniversary! We’re blessed to have you in our lives!
