Sweet Summer Treats

Hey! Hey! Hey! I’ve got some sweeeet for you all today! I don’t think it’s any secret that I have an insatiable sweet tooth (and I’m ok with), and that ice cream is my greatest kryptonite. Well, fellow blogger, Natalie over at The Sweets Life, is visiting today with some the most delicious summer dessert recipes I have ever seen. I guarantee that summer get-togethers that I either host (ha!) or attend (most likely) will be featuring one of these.

A special thanks to Abby for letting me guest post while she’s enjoying some quality time with her hubs! I’ve been reading Abby’s blog for only a few months now, but I’m so glad I stumbled upon it…I love reading Abby because she keeps it real, all the time. She’s hilarious, not afraid to stand up for her beliefs, and a hardcore runner with a healthy appetite…all things I can appreciate!

Though I have plenty of healthy recipes on my blog that I could’ve shared with you all today, I decided in the spirit of an approaching summer, it was more appropriate to stick to desserts…specifically frozen ones!  Is there anything more refreshing on a hot summer day than an ice cream or frozen dessert? I thought I’d share with you a few of my favorite summer dessert recipes…perfect for that upcoming cookout, that late night craving, or that co-worker/crush/neighbor you want to impress/spoil/fatten up!

First up: Margarita Ice Cream Pie With a pretzel crust and lime & ice cream filling, this is truly the cocktail in dessert form!

Next up: Frozen Mocha Marbled Loaf Cake Even non-coffee lovers (like myself) will go crazy for this creamy frozen cake with an Oreo crust!

Finally: S’mores Ice Cream Pie Too hot for a campfire? You can still get all the flavor of s’mores in this ice cream pie!

There you have it…three recipes that make excellent options for summer desserts! If you’re looking for more ice cream recipes, you can find them here on my blog The Sweets Life. Wondering more about The Sweets Life? Check out my About Me page & Recipe Index,

Thanks for sharing, Natalie! I can’t wait to get home to make one—or all—of these! I really can’t decide which I would make first!
