Wait…I’ll shock you again! I’m going to share a recipe!!!

The recipe includes meat.

Yes, since I’m growing an alien, I have indeed become an alien myself. Who the heck is living in my skin–and what is happening to my body?!

(Oh, and have you ever seen a fetus at 15 weeks? It looks like an alien.)

I don’t really have a name for this, but I do call it simple. And tasty! Dave refers to it as a “Mexican sloppy joe,” but you can be the judge of that.

Ingredients:

1 lb ground turkey
1 can Ro-Tel (diced tomatoes with green chilis)
1 packet of McCormick Buffalo Wing seasoning

Directions:

Brown turkey and drain any fat off. Add can of Ro-Tel and  between 1/2-1 packet of the seasoning. Really, how much seasoning you add depends on how spicy you prefer the meal. I added a little over half the packet last night and Dave thought it could use more (I thought it was ok, but spicy food hasn’t been that appealing to me lately). Once I added the whole packet and I thought my tongue burned off.

Annnnnd done!

You can eat this on a sandwich with cheese, as taco meat or (like I did last night) with tortilla chips. I haven’t had this in about 5 years, but it’s as good as I remember it was! I wonder if my new found carnivorous behavior will stick around after Baby makes his/her  appearance? (I have trouble referring to the baby as an “it.”)

What’s the weirdest craving you have ever had (pregnant or not)? 

One day I called Dave to pick up rump roast on his way home because I NEEDED roast beef. I haven’t wanted it since then, but it was goooood.
